job description

The Purchasing Department is responsible for the sourcing, buying, bidding, pricing, contract management and standardization for all Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center Departments needing to procure supplies and/or services for their business operation.  Purchasing utilizes PeopleSoft to manage the procurement of supplies and services.  Responsible for negotiating contracts for supplies and capital equipment.  Establish service or maintenance contracts, negotiate leases and rentals.  Position may require working at alternate sites associated with the Saint Francis Care System.  This position is essential to support the services of the Purchasing and Materials Systems Department operation.


job Requirements

Must have a healthcare background to be considered.

Education: Business Degree or equivalent work experience.
Experience:  Three years of business/purchasing/inventory control.
Licensure:  None
Skills:  Proficient in math with some background in inventory control.
