Information Security Specialist – CISSP preferred

The Information Security Specialist will provide support for the Information Asset Protection Policy (IAPP) program and the Chief Information Security Officer.  The Specialist will utilize the information security business processes, including performing business partner risk assessments and IAPP policy requirements reviews for new and legacy applications.  The Specialist will be responsible for ensuring that client information assets are protected.

The Specialist will be Raritan, NJ-based with travel to Titusville, NJ and Horsham PA based upon business need. They will also travel within the tri-state region in support of business partner risk assessments. 

• Execute the information security process for business partner risk assessments and re-assessments
• Execute the information security processes that support the IAPP compliance of new information technology applications
• Execute the information security processes that support the continued IAPP compliance of legacy applications
• Meet or exceed project requirements with respect to time, cost efficiency & business value
• Achieve project objectives & deliver results for internal partner(s)
• Apply knowledge of information security to all facets of daily job functions
• Ensure that client information assets are identified, valued and protected in compliance with information security policies
• Ensure that security is considered in all IM development plans and actions
• Manage multiple information security projects

• Thorough knowledge of risk assessment process and associated methodology.
• Demonstrated project management skills, techniques and technologies.
• CISSP or ISO Standard 27001 auditor certification preferred
• 4+ years information security experience with four-year degree or equivalent preferred
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate appropriately and effectively.
• Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills.
• Experience in applying information security to IT system design, analysis and implementation.
• Some domestic, regional travel will be required.
