VICE PRESIDENT OF OPERATIONS

Nickle Electrical, a well established Delaware Electrical Contractor is seeking a VP of Operations to lead its Newark office operation. We are looking for a dynamic, results driven manager to oversee all aspects of our business including estimating, project management, service, purchasing and shop. Essential responsibilities include:

1.     Provide day to day leadership and management of the operating group that mirrors the mission and core values of the company.

2.      Attract, recruit and retain key operating management personnel; provide mentoring and coaching support. Perform annual performance appraisals on direct reports.

3.     Responsible for driving the Newark operation to achieve and surpass sales and profitability

4.     Foster a success oriented, accountable environment within the operations group

5.     Responsible for the measurement and effectiveness of all Newark operational processes

6.    Ensure material procurement is efficient and cost effective

7.   Monitor construction projects for compliance to plans and specs and for the processing of change orders when and where appropriate

8.   Visit construction job sites as necessary to monitor performance, schedule, quality control, adherence to safety standards and customer relations

9.   Conduct 1 on 1 monthly meetings with all direct reports

10.   Represent the company at marketing, sales, promotional and networking functions

11.   Act as lead "client care officer" through direct contact with every client and partner
