Description
The Connecticut Chapter of the American Red Cross provides relief to victims of disasters and helps people prevent, prepare for and respond to emergencies. Our Program Service Department delivers training courses such as CPR, First Aid, Water Safety and Babysitter training.
We are currently seeking a candidate to fill a part-time customer service role in Program Services. This position provides excellent customer service and maintains positive customer relationships primarily via phone communications in our call center. Assists and guides callers to determine which course offering is best suited to their needs, and enrolls them into courses accordingly. Works closely with other department staff to ensure that the American Red Cross delivers high quality training programs.
Hours: Monday - Friday, 9am - 12:30pm, 17.5 hours per week, no benefits.
Requirements
Three years of customer service experience, including heavy phone work preferred.
Must have excellent customer service and telephone skills.
Demonstrated computer proficiency and excellent data entry skills.
