Description
Summary: Prepare, plan and execute all aspects relating to International training and education programs including: regional cadaver lab surgeon training (visitations and independent educational events); regional and global meetings and instructional courses; International team member development and sales training courses; and local planning and coordination with International country T & E events. Facilitates planning and execution of educational events with the Warsaw OSA team; assists with various Biomet Warsaw departments, SBUs and international OUS offices to develop educational strategies to ensure the success of International Training and Education Program initiatives.
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Support the Director of International Education and Professional Programs and Marketing Team in the implementation of education program objectives:
- Collaborate with the Director in the development of all professional educational efforts.
- Responsible for developing new curriculums for sales training programs and organizing events that support the on-going educational initiatives for international sales personnel and team members
- Will assist in developing a continuing education plan that identifies the training and development needs of international surgeons and translate such into an executable array of programs that benefit the said surgeons and the company.
- Adhere to all guidelines established by the Needs Assessment and Corporate Compliance processes including the Global Operating Procedures as well as other applicable regulations pertaining to International Education Services.
- Coordinate with creative services to obtain marketing and promotional materials needed for all training and education programs
- Setting up Hotel and Transportation contracts for major International educational and regional/global meetings and events.
- Coordinate with product managers, engineers and the Director to develop didactic presentations and cadaver training programs in Warsaw OSA facility and OUS cadaver and training facilities.
- Host visiting tour groups as necessary or when required to accommodate more than one visitation per week.
- Coordinate and organize ancillary services for events and preparation of tour facilities for visitation to Warsaw and the Orthopaedic Skills Academy.
- Create annual education budgets and individual event budgets to generate accurate report/documentation and charge-back records on all charges associated with each educational event.
- Develop a global faculty listing for available and approved HCPs that indicates which needs assessments they are approved to provide services, the status of all pending HCP approvals and maintain/update on a regular basis all the products currently used by each HCP
- Assist the Director with determining and developing new key US and International surgeons for use with all training and education events.
- Assist International Education and Professional Programs Director in establishing new visitation locations and updating of existing information of current sites and key host surgeons.
- Assist the International Surgeon Education Manager and Warsaw Event Coordinator as needed in the planning and preparing of itineraries for International surgeon-to-surgeon visitation, outbound surgeon visits and global team members visiting the US for training and education courses as well as other corporate functions.
- Assist with communication and scheduling of all surgeons for International training and education events, working directly with the surgeon’s office staff and OR personnel when needed for visitation logistics and coordination.
- Manage multiple deadline driven projects simultaneously and demonstrate effective time management skills while maintaining accurate and detailed records within compliance guidelines.
- Serve as a liaison between Biomet Headquarters, SBUs, European meetings and events team members, visitors, International offices and distributorships and key Biomet surgeons and allied healthcare professionals.
Requirements
Foreign Language Ability: Proficient in Spanish, Japanese, Korean and/or Chinese desirable.
Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree (BA) from a four-year college or university with a minimum of 3 -5 years experience with surgeon education programs and/or related industries.
