Integrated Medical Systems International, Inc. - IMS, The InstrumentReady Company, is currently seeking a tenacious Independent Sales Representative for the Macon, GA area. The Independent Sales Representative is responsible for selling all IMS product lines and services to medical facilities through out a designated territory.  We're looking for someone with proven strategic sales skills, the ability to effectively create and execute business plans and build strong relationships within a given territory.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities for the Independent Medical Sales Representative  

  • Sells and promotes IMS product lines into the OR Suites, Surgery Centers, Central Sterile Processing Department, GI Labs, and Endoscopy Clinics.
  • Collects equipment from customer for restoration, submits to proper repair facility, and receives repaired equipment to original customer.
  • Provides accredited educational programs for customers.
  • Performs competency validations for customer staff in the following areas: Flexible Scope leak testing, manual reprocessing, insulated integrity testing of laparoscopic instruments as a method of building customer relationships.
  • Successfully increase revenues and process improvement opportunities.
  • Performs/schedules proactive maintenance programs on categories of repairs.
  • Maintains positive impression of IMS by observing hospital policies.

Requirements for Independent Medical Sales Representative

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 3+ years of highly successful strategic sales experience in the medical device field. Current or previous independent sales experience. A background in the consultative selling of services is a plus.

In 1990, Gene Robinson spent many hours in operating rooms as an orthopaedic sales representative. During one visit, a frustrated nurse shoved a broken drill in his face and asked, "Can you please repair this?" Robinson's answer launched IMS.

While IMS started as a local surgical instrument repair company, it has grown far beyond that scope and now has representatives and facilities nationwide. IMS provides programs for instrument care and education, minimally invasive surgical support and central sterile department processes.
