On January 1, 2004 Easter Seals UCP North Carolina was established as a result of a merger between Easter Seals North Carolina and UCP of North Carolina. Job Description 

Position: Children’s Center Director

Location: Wilmington, New Hanover County

Classification: Salaried Fulltime

 

Responsibilities: Leadership, oversight and administration of an inclusive Early Intervention and child care center serving children of all abilities and their families, including personnel, facility and fiscal management. Ensures that best practice approaches and appropriate educational curriculum is provided for all children. Work collaboratively with local and state agencies and serves as a representative of ESUCP NC in community, as appropriate. Seeks opportunities for development of cutting-edge services for children with special needs and their families.  Has knowledge of the Early Intervention system in NC.  Knowledge of all current licensure requirements from the NC Division of Child Development.

 


Job Requirements 

Qualifications:

Four-year degree required in human service field, such as education, early childhood, special education, social work, psychology, or child development; Master’s degree is preferred.  NC Early Childhood Administration Level 111 Credential required. Experience for a min of four years working with young children and families and four years of supervisory/administrative experience required. Ability to define work priorities and work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining good communication. Experience for minimum of two years in business and fiscal management required. Must possess computer competencies.
