Description

• Technical assistance and project implementation for the modification, repair, troubleshooting, purchase and evaluation of all equipment. 

• Provide technical assistance for troubleshooting PLC ‘s and implement program changes when needed.

• Manage and supervise sub-contractors when project scope or deadlines require their support.

• Provide technical support to shift technicians when technical assistance is needed for troubleshooting, installations or repairs.

• Turnkey responsibility for projects, including; design modification, requisition of parts, fabrication of parts, electrical circuits, programs, assembly, installation and startup.

• Assist, in a hands on manner when necessary, the diagnosing and                       troubleshooting of malfunctions in machinery and equipment.

• Directs workers in the maintenance of electrical, electronic and control systems.

• Develop, maintain and implement preventive maintenance programs.

• Identification and requisition of required spare parts

• Establishes or adjusts work schedules and procedures to meet production schedules.

• Interprets specifications, blueprints, and work orders for themselves or others.

• Works with and establishes good communication channels through all levels, this includes holding or attending meetings.

• Estimate time, cost and manpower requirements for completion of tasks.

• Suggest methods to improve efficiencies in maintenance and production along with improvements in equipment performance and quality of product.

• Record and maintain records of assigned work orders, including status, time required and manpower.  Write and submit reports when required.

• Provide training to Maintenance and Production personnel where appropriate.

                *   Attend training classes and seminars and travel when required.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Education: 
Graduate of a certified High School program.

Experience: 
A minimum of 10 years of Industrial Maintenance experience with hands on knowledge of machining, basic electrical and electronics with an understanding of machine control systems.  Proven ability to direct and lead workers.

Verbal / written skills: 
Ability to organize thoughts and communicate them both verbally and written along with basic computer operation skills.
