A Senior Level professional position has opened in the Raleigh area for a company needing strong leadership for their global sales organization. This person needs to manage the CRM tool - the global sales and implementation of the product. The person needs to have had experience with implementing this product several times AND have strong business & presentation skills. This is more technical than sales and they are NOT looking for a sales person.

Primary Responsibilities:


    Leadership
    • Demonstrates ability to work in a collaborative and changing environment.
    • Demonstrates ability to work independently and manage assigned responsibilities with limited supervision.
    • Receives assignments in the form of objectives and determines how to use resources to meet schedules and goals.
    • Challenges others to develop as leaders while serving as a role model and mentor.

    • Effectively utilizes each team member to his/her fullest potential.
    • Mitigates team conflict and communication problems.
    • Effectively evaluates problems and executes solutions.

    Management
    • Manage individual resources set across a variety of disciplines and focus areas.
    • Provides guidance to subordinates within the latitude of established company policies.
    • Conducts effective performance evaluations and mentors those with less experience.
    • Helps team execute career development plans.
    • Consistently acknowledges and appreciates each team member's contributions.
    • Evaluates and enforces expectations and accountability against poor performers.
    • Manages a team responsible for maintenance, support and projects in sales space.
    • Has some responsibility for vendor management.
    • Regularly interacts with senior management or executive levels on matters concerning several functional areas, divisions, and/or customers.

    Client Management
    • Manages day-to-day internal, global client interaction.
    • Manages internal client expectations.
    • Communicates effectively with internal clients to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions.
    • Continually seeks opportunities to increase internal client satisfaction and deepen client relationships.
    • First point of contact for strategic project/problem evaluation.
    • Ensures effective and timely communications to broad client base across multiple levels and business units.

    Process
    • Responsible for tactical and strategic aspects of the application, sales tools and processes.
    • Resolves and/or escalates issues in a timely fashion.
    • Initiates and implements process improvements in all areas of IT responsibility.
    • Responsible for enforcing processes around change, release and configuration management in the sales space.
    • Works in a collaborative mode across large and geographically dispersed teams.
    • Ability to structure the work, define roles, delegate responsibilities and develop and manage project/activity plans and schedules.
    • Evaluate, document and communicate cross-functional impact for work in sales space.

    Development
    • Remains on the forefront of emerging industry practices.
    • Seeks and participates in development opportunities above and beyond training.
    • Proactively gains resident expertise on salesforce.com and its associated sales tools as it is used in Red Hat.
    • Learn the Red Hat business including processes, people, systems and market.


This is a Direct Hire, Full-Time position offered through Volt Technical Resources - a division of a Fortune 1000 publicly traded Staffing Industry Leader, which is headquartered in Redmond, Washington. Requirements:

Manager - Information Technology - Sales Automation Qualifications:

  • The ideal candidate will have a strong management background and a successful track record of delivering complex IT projects.
  • Excellent presentation, effective oral and written business communication skills are a must.
  • Experience with CRM packages is highly desired.
  • Advanced knowledge and experience in salesforce.com implementation is required.
  • 3 to 5 years business experience working in sales or a sales supporting organization.
  • Minimum 8+ years of experience working in a complex IT environment.
  • Channel sales experience is highly desired.
  • People management experience a must.
  • Education: College degree required, MBA desired. Certification is a plus.
