Job Description

We are currently seeking qualified candidates for a Chief Medical Officer position that will be based at Florida Hospital Heartland Division, in Sebring, Florida.

This exciting leadership position has the opportunity to work under the supervision of the CEO, will supervise administrative and reporting systems with responsibility for specific clinical effectiveness initiatives, safety and assigned aspects of clinical quality and overall quality improvement activities. This position will work with hospital president/CEO and hospital medical staff president for the administration of medical affairs. The position serves as representative and advocate for campus medical staff to the administrative executive team as well as be the administrative liaison to the hospital medical staff.

  • Medical Doctor or Osteopathic Doctor
  • Board Certified
  • 10 years of active medical practice experience
  • Experience in hospital medical staff leadership positions
  • Experience in hospital quality efforts
  • Minimum of at least 5 years demonstrated leadership role in Medical Staff affairs
  • MBA or equivalent preferred or related experience as evidenced by personal history
