Consultant - Telecommunications Sales
This business to business sales/consulting position requires a unique capability to perform client assessments as well as uncover opportunities to sell professional services offered by our Telecommunications Consulting group. Salesperson should have strong verbal communication skills and an excellent phone presence, an ability to adhere to and carry out the sales process of lead generation, pitch/presentation and closing deals along with an outgoing personality, tenacious attitude, good listening skills and an unlimited drive to succeed.
Responsibilities include:
� Prospecting, lead generation, setting appointments and to grow the economic unit�s business
� Tracking and management of current and potential customers through the use of leads from campaigns, cold calling and various databases
� Manages the sales process from start to close
� Ensuring that pertinent information gathered during the sales calls is input into the Firm�s contact management system
� Ensures the right �players� are on the sales team to successfully close the sale
� Working with management to communicate activity including current prospects, competitive information, and client feedback
� Generating reports from the Firm�s contact management system to provide reports on sales activity, sales forecasts and other quantifiable sales objective measurements
� Other activities as assigned
Qualifications:
Required
� Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications or related field
� 3-5 years successful business-to-business sales experience
� Past experience in telecommunications sales & assessments
Preferred
� Exceptional communication skills; written and verbal
� Ability to identify and qualify C-level executives
� Ability to project manage individuals from various levels to make the sale
� Ability to close the sale
� Willingness to support client servers by following up on leads, along with the ability to qualify and distribute new prospect leads from vendors and marketing campaigns, prepare proposals, and be involved in team-based selling by monitoring new prospect leads through the sales closing process
� Basic technology skills, such as word processing, e-mail, Excel, contact management software, etc.
� Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
� Ability to represent the firm and the products/services at appropriate levels with potential clients
