Duties & Responsibilities
Responsible for set up and operation of machines such as lathes, mills, grinder, saw. Duties include studying sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts; measuring, marking, and scribing dimensions and reference points on material or work piece; selecting, aligning, and securing holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines; calculating and setting controls to regulate machining factors; starting and observing machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and adjust machine controls or control media; setting up and operating machine on trial run to verify settings or programmed control data; fitting and assembling parts; installing machined replacement parts; operating welding equipment; and developing specifications from general description and drawing sketches of part or product to be fabricated. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent.
Minimum 10 year experience in a manufacturing environment with a focus on machining.
Proficient in the use of qualify control measuring devices. Basic computers skills. Must have manual and CNC machine competence.
