Sr Principal Engineer, Network
Job Responsibilities:

The selected Senior Principal Network Engineer will be responsible for Wide Area and Local Area Network Architectures. He/She will be responsible for all network devices to include, but not limited to, Routers, Switches, Encryption, and all associated devices. Candidate will coordinate and provide updated information to the customer pertaining to installations, changes, documentation, and inventory updates. Will be required to lead and direct the work of others in the capacity of project deployment lead and mentor and develop junior staff members.
General tasks:
Network/Voice/Systems Architecture, network staging, deployment and implementation.
Compliance with all associated guidance and directives in the approved System Security Plan.
Use standard customer reporting systems to report and track all issues associated with Network and Systems Operations.
Attend and contribute to high-level multi-national information systems interoperability conferences. Publish minutes, track action items, and coordinate work in progress.
Required Education:
Requires a BS degree in an Information Technology related field of study (IT related degree may be waived for extensive experience in computer and network systems.) Must have certification in one or more specific applications. CCNP at minimum, CCVP a plus, CCIE desired.
Required Work Experience:
Requires 5-10 years experience. Military experience a definite plus. Intelligence or Operations experience desirable.
Skills and Abilities:
Writing and speaking skills are essential. Strong problem solving skills needed. Ability to plan and organize projects. Manage customer expectations. People skills are a must. Work well and integrate into a small team environment. Ability to plan and organize systems integration and/or systems fielding projects. Work independently as required. Ability to consult on development initiatives as relates to Coalition networks/systems.
Other Desirable Requirements:
Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance is required for this position.
Must be able to achieve ITIL Foundation and Security+ (or equivalent) Certification within six months of hire.
Candidate must be willing to travel a minimum of 50 percent.
Candidate may be required to be deployed to austere or hazardous regions during some assignments.
Candidate must be physically capable of lifting and carrying 60 lbs. for short periods of time.
