Counter Sales Champion-Detroit Metro Airport

Avis Budget Group, a global leader in the travel services industry, is searching for a dedicated Counter Sales Manager to work at our Detroit Metro Airport location. 
 
Our ideal candidate is a business expert in identifying sales opportunities and revenue growth strategies and is also an effective trainer and coach in implementing appropriate methods to achieve revenue growth goals.  This management position partners with local managers and rental sales agents to deliver strategies focused on growth in support of business objectives.
 
Responsibilities include but are not limited to: acting as an internal sales expert and partnering with Operations to help assess, measure and enhance the performance of revenue generation activities connected with counter sales effectiveness.  In addition, the CSM partners with local managers to identify and analyze areas of revenue generation opportunities for products and/or services in support of business goals and to monitor the sales agents overall effectiveness throughout the sales process. 
 
This Counter Sales Manager consults, trains, mentors, and coaches local managers and associates in areas that include revenue generation performance issues and overall sales effectiveness.  Also, executes local sales training programs and keeps updated on new training methods and techniques. 

Bachelor's Degree

  • 2 years of progressive experience in sales and/or sales training
  • Plus 1 year of managerial experience.
     
    The Successful Candidate must be willing to and/or possess the following:
     
  • Knowledge of counter sales, performance leadership and/or Quality Assurance standards.
  • Prior experience or involvement in sales training, leadership development, coaching, customer/client service and/or presentation
              skills.
  • Strong leadership, creativity and analytical skills.
  • Persuasive and motivational communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong interpersonal, organization and time management skills.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment and act with a sense of urgency.
  • Contribute positively to the organization, both individually and as part of a team.
  • Strong PC skills including knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word).
