Position Summary: *This is a PART-TIME, TERM position
Located in a retail operation this position provides customer service within the parameters of departmental standards with regard to speed of service and customer satisfaction. Responsible for all levels of customer service.
Prepares food requirements of a standard menu with concern for quality, appeal, presentation, sanitation, safety, and cost. Coordinates tasks and meet deadlines for the daily preparation of cold food utilizing standardized recipes. Maintain production area, kitchen and pantry equipment in a safe and sanitary condition.
Responsible for maintaining the kitchen in a clean, safe and orderly fashion.
Schedule: Thu-Sun9:30pm-3am
Schedule will be discussed during the interview process and established when an offer of employment is made. Flexibility, weekend work and work outside the unit may be required. Schedule may change due to business needs.
Position requires knowledge of and experience with kitchen equipment and skill in presenting and garnishing food. This position requires a High School diploma, GED or completion of the Excelling at Princeton program and one year of relevant experience OR five (5) years experience in Dining Services. The employee must:
1.be able to read, write and follow verbal and written instructions.
2.observe all New Jersey State Health Codes and Regulations including proper hand washing and use of gloves.
3. have good interpersonal skills with management, staff and customers.
Essential Job Functions:
1. Stand or walk up to 2 hours at one time for a total of 6-8 hours per day.
2. Sit for no more than 2 hours during an 8 hour day, except for cashiers who may sit for 2 - 4 hours at one time for a total of 4 - 6 hours per day.
3. Lift or carry up to 30 pounds frequently (34 - 66% of the workday).
4. Lift or carry up to 60 pounds occasionally (less than 33% of the workday).
5. Push or pull using forces up to 60 pounds occasionally (less than 33 % of the workday).
6. Frequently use hands for simple grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, or pulling (34 - 66% of the workday).
7. Bend, squat, kneel, climb stairs, reach overhead, lift overhead occasionally (less than 33% of the work day).
8. Lift up to 30 pounds in a range of motions from floor to overhead.
9. Work under a range of temperature conditions (e.g., kitchens, walk-in refrigerators and freezers, etc).
10. Possess physical agility, full range of motion, and ability to maintain balance.
FINALIST WILL BE REQUIRED TO PASS A BACKGROUND CHECK, AND PRE-EMPLOYMENT PHYSICAL.
