The Senior Accounting Consultant provides accounting expertise to management regarding complex cross-functional projects, and/or other activities supporting strategic initiatives.   Additionally, the Senior Accounting Consultant is responsible for forecasting and analysis of data in the areas of premium accounting, financial reporting and planning, profit improvement initiatives and various departmental projects, using the results to create financial reports. 
 
Essential Functions:
  • Develops methods and criteria for measuring and summarizing financial data and preparing complex analyses
  • Ensures departmental adherence to corporate guidelines, performance standards and all applicable laws and regulations
  • Provides high subject matter expertise in preparing financial reports, pro-forma financial statements and reports, and analyses of financial statements
  • Acts as Finance liaison, partnering with associates from other business areas on special projects


job Requirements

Education/Experience:
Bachelor's Degree; Master's Degree, preferred     
5 plus years accounting and/or finance experience
Licensed CPA
 
 
Computer Skills:
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word and Excel
Knowledge and experience developing applications utilizing SQL (Microsoft and/or Oracle tools)
