Job Description 

HR Plus is currently seeking an experienced and professional Software Engineer to be responsible for gathering information for software requirements, technical design, development, debugging, troubleshooting and implementation of new programs and technologies that provide quality IT services to user departments.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Work with end users and other internal staff to ensure programs meet business goals and are developed in accordance with business requirements
  • Write structured application code from specifications conforming to established methodology and standards
  • Write or revise program documentation, operations documentation and user guides in accordance with standards
  • Provide technical support to end users.  Research problems, separating symptoms from actual causes and identify opportunities to correct the issue to improve the system
  • Design and execute unit and system tests in various phases of testing
  • May be asked to manage projects or partner projects as assigned
 


Job Requirements 

The ideal candidate will have a BS/BA in Computer Science plus at least 3 years related experience in software development.  We require the ability to be able to handle all types of highly confidential information and develop software with appropriate precautions for handling confidential information.  Candidate must have experience with Microsoft Visual Studio, .NET programming and experience in either VB.NET or C# (preferably both) on both Windows and web applications.  Candidate must also have experience with Microsoft SQL Server (preferably 2005).  Experience with e-commerce, XML and XSLT is preferred.  The ability to prioritize and a sense of urgency are critical.  We also require the candidate to have outstanding written and oral communication skills.
