Job Description

1. Achieve annual sales goal for the district.
2. Manage annual expense budget for the district.
3. Work with territory sales teams to develop and execute effective sales plans.
4. Provide pertinent information while planning, developing and implementing sales and expense goals.
5. Maintain an open line of communication with sales teams, product managers, marketing managers, sales support personnel and upper management through timely and thorough reporting.
6. Support and contribute to the contacting, selling and servicing of customers in a professional manner.
7. Maintain active involvement in key accounts.
8. Recruit and hire a diverse staff of representatives, consultants and per diems who will meet the professional standards of HMCo sales personnel.
9. Compose and conduct annual performance reviews for all district personnel and, adhering to corporate guidelines, recommend probation and releasing when in the company's best interests.
10. Keep all district personnel informed of corporate direction, corporate policies, SFA enhancements, and product and marketing developments. Provide district personnel with the appropriate training on a continuous basis by conducting regular sales meetings and by one on one coaching.
11. Communicate with and mentor all district personnel to understand and further their career interests to the benefit of HMC. Keep upper management informed of such interests.
12. Stay abreast of changes and developments in key accounts, in the marketplace, with the competition and the industry. Continually strive for self-development.
13. Maintain integrity and a professional image in dealing with colleagues.


Job Requirements

This position requires a Bachelor's Degree (Master's desirable), knowledge of the educational market and a minimum of three years consistently successful sales experience.

Excellent organizational skills, oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills are necessary, as well as the ability to assimilate information rapidly.

Must be able to analyze problems and data and create solutions.

Experience with Outlook and Microsoft applications is required.

Leadership skills to foster a professional sales environment and conduct him/herself in a manner that promotes mutual repsect and trust so others can perform at an optimal level.

Self-motivated and proactive in pursuing new opportunities to promote the company's interests.
