Currently, we are seeking qualified candidates for a Manufacturing Engineer - New Model Planning.
Key Accountabilities:
- Manufacturing lead for new model projects to meet business deliverables (finance, quality, fabrication, assembly, operations, etc.)
- Serve as point of reference for all mega/major project updates to operations staff as well as maintaining the communication boards
- Responsible for supporting daily manufacturing operations (assembly equipment, packaging, material handling, fixtures, and business processes).
- Manage pilot projects (document issues, materials, etc.) and required follow up documentation
- Responsible for PPAP for new parts
- Safety, quality, cost, and delivery improvement initiatives
- Determining root cause of problems and implementing corrective & preventative actions
- Performing Lean Sigma project work, and implementing Lean Manufacturing methodology throughout area of responsibility

Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent.
- 2-7 years related experience preferred, including experience in Lean Manufacturing Methods.
- Strong project management experience.
- Understanding and working knowledge of statistics and quality control measures and methods.
- PC proficiency utilizing MS Office and MS Project.
- Strong communication skills
- Communication and support to 24-hour / day assembly processes
- Proven leadership ability, excellent communicator, confidence inspirer, and self motivator
