| Job Description |
Vaco has a client in the financial services industry that has an immediate need for an experienced Business Systems Analyst.
The Business Systems Analyst role will be responsible for the development of functional application specifications and systems design. Communicates with users and the application programming staff to coordinate and develop detailed functional specifications and flow charts for program creation and enhancements. Plans and executes project systems involving operation, simulation, test or support requirements with real-time applications. Develops documentation associated with computer software and analyzes software data acquired during systems testing. Analyze and document business problems, develop test plans, and test and approve new system behaviors. Establishes appropriate systems methods through project planning, systems analysis, program development, and implementation, to achieve effective business solutions to meet the Company's objectives.
Responsibilities:
Interact with business partners to elicit, gather, document and validate requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements sessions, storyboards, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, event lists, business models, task and workflow analysis, modeling, diagramming, and other methods.
Analyzes procedures and problems to refine data and convert it to programmable form for electronic data processing.
Responsible for all (LOB) Enhancement requests - facilitating prioritization meetings, and tracking status of requests
Interpreting new and changing business requirements to determine the impact on data warehouse design and proposing creative enhancements and changes to meet these new requirements.
Ensure appropriate problem resolution has occurred and that system issues are addressed and communicated accordingly.
Coordinate all changes to the system. Provide final approval for implementation for all changes to the system.
Qualifications:
Education: BS in math, computer science, information systems, engineering, or related discipline with 5+ years of experience
Expertise in Agile development Methodology
Financial Services Experience
Experience in systems analysis and business process engineering.
Knowledge of .Net and web applications
Experience testing web applications.
Knowledge of tools, techniques and good practices for capturing, storing, documenting, tracking, tracing, and changing business and system requirements.
Knowledge of system requirements definition (RD) processes and modeling methods and tools
