Senior System Administrator for Information Security

Job Description
A Senior System Administrator for Information Security is responsible for the day-to-day system management of the managed security service infrastructure. This infrastructure is used 24x7 to monitor and manage the security of our customers globally. Responsibilities include building, monitoring, supporting, and managing all components of the infrastructure.

Requirements

• at least 5 years of Unix administration experience, including the experience with security and hardening


• fundamental knowledge of networking (TCP/IP, routing, firewalling, etc.)


• capable and willing to acquire in-depth knowledge of open source and proprietary software


• experience with scripting (shell scripts and Perl)


• knowledge of HTTP, SSH, SMTP, NFS, DNS, NTP, LDAP, Kerberos and other commonly used protocols


• exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written


• ability to follow strict procedures for disciplined installations, documentation, event handling and change control.


• ability to work flexible shifts, maintenance windows, and participate in on-call 24x7 rotation


• ability to learn new technologies quickly


• excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills


• ability to work independently and as part of a team


• US Citizen, capable of obtaining security clearance


• knowledge of Oracle and/or PostgreSQL


• virtualization experience, preferably VMware Infrastructure/vSphere


• knowledge of PKI and identity management including X509, OCSP, CRL


• enterprise storage experience, preferably NetApp


• experience with RedHat flavored Linux distributions
