Primary responsibility will be to develop new business opportunities in support of the GDAIS ITS Line of Business (LoB) Business Director (BD). The secondary responsibility will be to support the BAD’s with their re-compete business. Identifies and recommends new business opportunities. Formulates strategies and plans to capture new business and leads capture-related activities as necessary. Develops short and long-range business forecasts and marketing plans. Performs administrative, analytical and research activities in support of the business development and acquisition, strategic planning, proposal development and/or marketing services functions. Gathers data on competitors and analyzes their prices, sales and methods of operation. Analyzes and researches customer information, product/service preferences, market size, penetration, marketing practices and trends. Monitors and compiles forecasts based on statistical data of past sales. This position reports directly to the ITS Business Director.
The primary customers are the US Air Force and US Navy. The candidate should have extensive knowledge of the Air Force and the Navy, their decision-makers, strategic direction, capability and technology gaps, and be able to convert this knowledge into new business strategies; have customer contacts within the missile flight system community, and have the ability to influence decision-makers; be knowledgeable of and able to strategically position the LoB for new growth; have a record of successful new business development.

Secret
Bachelors Degree or equivalent
Minimum of 12 years of related management experience or demonstrated effectiveness to meet the managerial expectations.
Knowledge of the acquisition process and have sufficient technical background to verify and shape our capture strategy.
Candidate must have related business development/sales experience.
Secret clearance required.
