As a Senior Sales Representative with Diebold Fire Services, you will be responsible for carrying out all company goals and objectives established by the Sales Manager, as it relates to this position. This individual will be expected to exceed sales revenue goals, develop and maintain valued customer relationships and promote the company's products and services. A Senior Sales Representative is also responsible for expanding the company's current customer base and developing and maintaining professional selling skills. This position will be located in one of three locations: Richmond VA, Charlottesville, VA or Fredericksburg, VA Some essential functions of this position include: - Secure integrated system sales at acceptable job margin
- Develop and implement sales and marketing plan to grow the integrated systems business in assigned area
- Responsibility for growing integrated systems customer base with primary focus on new construction and end-user/owner negotiated projects. Also responsible for servicing existing client base while generating new business to expand current customer base.
- Provide timely and accurate response to customer's required proposal and/or bid circumstance
- Responsible for writing and submitting professional proposals
- Follow up on all sales leads in a timely and effective manner
- Promote Diebold Fire Services and the products and services that are offered
- Track and provide accurate sales information to company management
- Provide accurate and timely submittal of sales orders and job notes to appropriate order processing and technical staff
- Make necessary sales presentations to customers and management, as requested
- Acquire and maintain sound knowledge of all product lines and services offered
- Consistently work with management to develop a competitive pricing structure
- Research and obtain information on position specific training opportunities
- Exceed all company sales goals and objectives as it relates to this position
- Mentor for Sales Engineer and Inside Sales Representative
- Adhere to current Diebold Fire Services policies, procedures, products and services
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or Engineering or an equivalent combination of education and experience in the field of sales or service of electronics equipment
- Possess knowledge of customer relations, marketing and communications, and project management
- Moderate to considerable amount of travel to customer/vendor sites will be required
- 10+ years sales experience or equivalent knowledge and education of sales of Fire Detection Systems/Electronic Security Systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must be responsible, self-motivated, self-starter, personable and well-organized
- Superior customer service skills to deal with both internal and external customers
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work with diverse groups
- Proficiency in the use of personal computers, including such programs as MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Ability to demonstrate planning, organizing and implementing skills, which allow the successful completion of a project by a specific due date
- Must be able to effectively handle stressful situations
- Must be able to read and effectively interpret general business documentation
- Valid and current drivers license
- NICET Certification
- Ability to read and interpret CAD drawings and blueprints
