POSITION SUMMARY:
The Affiliate Revenue & Analysis Manager is responsible for ensuring accurate reflection of revenue and subscriber information within Affiliate Finance department for all Comcast networks, including E!, Style, G4, Versus, Golf Channel, PBS Kids Sprout as well as any future acquisitions. This position will manage all financial and contractual aspects of a diversified affiliate account portfolio and ensure a timely monthly close.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage all financial aspects of account portfolio and maintain integrity of the information in the Medea customer database. Manage monthly close to ensure accurate and timely revenue and subscriber recognition. Ensure through understanding of affiliate agreements for assigned accounts and all contractual terms are properly applied in Medea database.
Demonstrate cross-functional expertise in accrual based revenue accounting, billing, accounts receivable, cash management, collections, and contract management.
Manage monthly cash, revenue and reconciliation process for account portfolio in Medea database. Maintain Medea data and all aspects of database relating to portfolio, including uploading and reconciling remittances, launch authorizations, system merges, drops, splits, ownership changes, contract changes, variance analysis within Medea, and other related tasks.
Provide timely and appropriate support to Sr. Mgr as needed for monthly reporting and ad-hoc analysis. Develop reporting templates to support ongoing and monthly processes. Provide additional reports and ad-hoc support for Field Sales and Corporate Finance on an as-needed basis.
Assist in the preparation of annual affiliate revenue budgets and subsequent reforecasts for all accounts across all networks. Assist in monthly variance analysis of actuals to estimates to assist in P&L meetings. Take or recommend corrective action to ensure budgets and estimates are achieved.
Provide in-depth financial interpretation, including revenue & subscriber analysis of current and future contractual agreements. Support Networks with what-if scenarios as needed.
Provide in-depth, accurate and relevant revenue & subscriber data from Medea to assist all internal clients: Networks, Finance, Network Distribution, Affiliate Sales/Marketing and Operations.
Assist Sr. Mgr in the preparation of assigned portfolio account numbers for annual budgets/forecasts and monthly reforecasts. Perform monthly variance analysis of actuals to estimates to assist in P&L analysis for monthly close. Communicate monthly P&L and forecast variance explanations to internal clients in a timely manner.
Develop and maintain exceptional business relationships with both external customers (Operators) and internal customers (Networks, Field Sales/Marketing, Network Distribution, Corporate Finance and Operations) in order to provide superior customer service.
Assist in the selection and training of new team members. In addition, take a leadership role on task forces and committees designed to improve business processes.

DECISION MAKING/ACCOUNTABILITY:
The Financial Account Manager must be able to work independently to manage all financial aspects of a portfolio of accounts as well as with field sales to prepare annual budgets and reforecasts for a portfolio of accounts. In addition, the individual works with Corporate Finance to establish policies, procedures and business processes. Issues not specifically addressed by established guidelines are resolved through interpretation of policy, or internal control requirements.
Job Requirements
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: (the minimum KSA's required for job performance)
Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
Strong computer skills, including: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Medea database a plus.
Broad experience with database management and information retrieval.
Access knowledge is a plus.
Strong customer service background.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills..
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: ( the levels of education and previous work experience required to meet the above KSA's, including level and field of degree, other course work and duration and field of work experience).
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field preferred.
Minimum 6-8 years previous experience in financial analysis, contract interpretation/billing and accounts receivable systems. P&L experience a plus.
The Financial Account Manager must be able to manage multiple priorities, timelines and demands of the business environment. Strong financial acumen is necessary to interpret contractual agreements and accurately translate deal points into Medea.
