Position Summary: Sara Lee's North American Fresh Bakery: Wisconsin DSD Sales Zone is looking to fill a District Sales Manager position for its La Crosse, Wisconsin depot. Position will report to the Wisconsin Zone Vice President. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: - Manage, coach, and develop a team of route sales representatives
- Manage day-to-day depot operations, which includes loaders and merchandisers
- Drive all route sales execution activities & manage district performance
- Manage route structures to assure optimum effectiveness
- Develop & implement strategies for increasing market share
- Solicit new business
- Manage unauthorized & past due accounts
- Call on accounts & store management to maintain relationships & solve customer issues
- Review proper ordering for normal & promotional activity
- Manage execution of promotions, displays & rack sets
- Ride routes with employees to evaluate performance & provide coaching
- Recruit and manage training of new hires
- Maintain a safe work environment
- Bachelors degree preferred
- Minimum 2 years sales or marketing experience, preferably in DSD environment; supervisory experience preferred
- Valid driver s license & clean driving record required
- Strong organizational skills & excellent communication skills are essential
