Job Description

Department: Sales


Supports the efforts of the Dart sales force by making and conveying decisions regarding pricing, sales support, and service issues within the context of Dart policies, procedures, and philosophy. This position involves working via telephone and email to communicate with Dart representatives, customers, and other personnel primarily located in Mexico and the UK.

 

Specific Duties:
  • Works via telephone, fax, and email with field sales personnel primarily in international markets involving Dart sales force requests for competitive pricing contract and bid pricing, and other product pricing issues.
  • Analyzes information provided by the Dart sales force pertaining to competitive products, competitive prices, and related terms and conditions of sale.
  • Makes decisions concerning customer pricing, shipping requirements, terms of sale, and conditions of sale.
  • Communicates, explains, and defends pricing decisions and company pricing policies as well as related terms and conditions of sale.
  • Conveys decisions with supportive rationale to the field sales personnel and, on occasion, to customers via written and verbal communication.
  • Customer service - Assists customers by resolving service related issues which are beyond the abilities or authority of Dart Customer Service Representatives and handles other service issues when field sales personnel are unavailable and/or immediate action is required. Communicates with customers regarding these issues both verbally and in writing.
  • Evaluates and makes decisions on sales force requests regarding company expenditures relating to distributor promotional and marketing activities, distributor trade show participation, and distributor requests for advertising support.
  • Field service support - Receives Field Service Reports from Dart Salesforce relating to product quality and/or customer service problems. Analyzes the reported information. Gathers information on the problem from various sources. Works with Dart Salesforce to develop the optimal mutually acceptable solution for both the customer and Dart. Makes decisions in this regard and communicates them to the Dart Salesforce and, on occasion, to customers via letter.
  • Works with Dart Credit Department personnel, Dart field sales personnel, and occasionally directly with the customer to resolve issues associated with past due invoices and unauthorized payment deductions.
  • Authors and sends customer price quotations and general correspondence via letter, fax, and email relating to pricing and general sales and service matters.
  • Provides ongoing general administrative sales and service support to the Dart sales force and to customers.
  • Special projects as assigned.

      Job Requirements

    2. A bachelor’s degree from a four year college or university, or international equivalent, is required.
    3. Verbal and written fluency in both English and Spanish is required.
    4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    5. Great attention to detail, good organizational skills, and excellent analytical skills.
    6. Good basic math skills.
    7. Ability to use independent judgment and make decisions.
    8. Basic PC Skills.
    9. Prior business experience preferred.
