Job Description
Responsible for generating sales and revenue by selling Verizon Business communications, IT Services, and security portfolio to NY State accounts. Responsible for expanding existing account(s), and developing relationship with customers. Must understand government procurement process and have sold into the NY Government Market for a minimum of 3 years.

Requirements
Uses professional selling concepts and skills to overcome difficult selling situations in new or imaginative ways. Requires independent thinking; demands full use and application of principles, theories, concepts and technologies. Demonstrates in-depth knowledge of solutions sales processes within the IT market. Requires a Bachelors degree and a minimum of 7+ years experience in a related discipline. Demonstrates a detailed knowledge of the IT industry and systems integration environment with detailed understanding of competitor offerings, product portfolio and industry trends. Understanding Government finance concepts- profitability, revenues, ROI and turnover at "C" level with the ability to identify critical success factors and long/short term objectives. Additional Qualifications (Additional qualifications to the minimum based on the specific needs of the requisition.): Government Sales experience with a System Integrator or Equipment Vendor preferred.
