District Manager, Anesthesia and Critical Care Specialist
In this key roll, you will be responsible for achieving or exceeding sales goals for Precedex, an intravenous sedative, within assigned geography. You will provide leadership through direction, motivation, coaching, skill development, product knowledge, industry knowledge, competitive knowledge, performance management, and company knowledge. As the DM, you will create, implement and communicate plans and vision for your district to assure achievement of goals within District budget and Corporate compliance governance. As District Manager you must maintain a diverse and motivated sales team that embraces Hospira's recruitment and employee relations policies.
Additional responsibilities include:
- Develop sales tactics and strategies to increase sales within assigned geography.
- Utilize established CRM tool to prepare business plans, forecasts, and penetration analysis and to monitor district progress towards meeting and exceeding sales plans and forecasts.
- Effectively manage district budgets to ensure ROI is being maximized within assigned geography. Develop an atmosphere of confidence and strength; effectively utilizes the performance management process by routinely conducting performance evaluations, providing feedback on performance gaps, providing coaching to minimize gaps and preparing representatives to meet personal and company goals.
- Use motivational tools to effectively drive teamwork and superior sales performance within assigned geography.
- Effectively utilize both written and verbal communication skills to consistently provide clear direction to subordinates and peers.
- Ensure representative adherence to all corporate and divisional compliance policies and guidelines.
Requirements
To be successful in this position, you must possess:
- Must possess a BS/BA, preferably in business/marketing, pharmacy, nursing, science, and/or other technical disciplines.
- Prior sales or clinical experience in anesthesia or critical care environment required.
- 3-5 years of demonstrated sales success in proprietary pharmaceutical sales.
- 1-3 years of progressive leadership experience; prior district, regional or national training experience preferred.
Travel is required 75%. Territory: Boston, MA. We are seeking candidates that reside in the Boston, MA area.
