Essential Job Functions:
Ensure highest possible usability for a wide suite of business applications
Perform User-Centered design and analysis
Conceptualize, storyboard, mock-up and prototype end-user experience
Design, administer, and analyze results of usability tests
Capture and analyze analytics data
Utilize rapid prototyping tools to quickly deliver high-fidelity, interactive interfaces
Maintain and expand User Experience platform by managing documentation and processes
Evaluate emerging UX trends, tools, technologies and maintain a general awareness of the field
Lead user experience interests in cross-functional project teams
Engage analysts, business owners, development team, and end-users to achieve goals
Secondary Job Functions:
Produce production graphics and apply defined branding guidelines
Build production templates and debug presentation layer issues
Produce analytics information/analysis
Evangelize best practice designs and design process amongst peers
Requirements
Mastery of User Experience domain including design methodologies, particularly user-centered design process, emerging standards, and essential elements such as information architecture, interaction, information, and visual design with a capacity to articulate concepts in everyday terms
Translate technical requirements, test results, user feedback, team directions, and company standards into application designs
Conceptualize and draft ideas at various levels of fidelity ranging from paper scribbles to graphic mockups (Illustrator, Photoshop or equivalent; Visio)
Create interactive prototypes for usability testing (Axure, Dreamweaver or equivalent)
Experience designing, planning, conducting, analyzing, and documenting user interface tests
Working knowledge of HTML, XHTML, DHMTL, JavaScript, and CSS
Excellent writing and communication skills
Ability to respond to fluctuating requirements with comfort and ease
Comfortable in fast-paced, fast-changing, software development environments
Able to lead peers
Required Experience and Education:
Bachelor or Masters of Science/Arts or equivalent in User Interface Design, HCI, Cognitive Science, Graphic Design, or related discipline.Â
5-7+ years of relevant experience
Experience designing web-based business applications in a lead capacity
Experience designing for AJAX
Experience with desktop and mobile applications a plus
Must submit a creative portfolio including links to projects where candidate participated in applicable role
