Our client,located in the Savannah,Georgia area, is seeking a high energy, knowledgeable Controller. In this key management position you will ensure the accurate and timely reporting of company financials, direct all accounting and financial functions, and present results and recommendations to the management team.Salary is commensurate with experience and a terrific benefits package is offered.
Specific responsibilities include: - Consolidation of all financial data and produce internal and external financial data. - Oversee all accounting and financial operational functions. - Maintain policies, internal controls and accounting processes to ensure accurate and timely reporting. - Oversee multi-state payroll. - Provide financial analysis on a monthly, quarterly, and full year basis - Deliver short and long term forecasts to Senior Management. - Coordinate and serve as the liaison for the activities of the external auditors.
Background Requirements: - 5 to 7 years of progressive growth in accounting with specific experience in an accounting manager, assistant controller or controller role. - Solid management experience and leading large teams is required. - Experience within a retail/multi unit environment would be a plus. - Great Plains experience is a plus, with strong technical experience in accounting/ERP Systems. - Bachelors Degree in Accounting is required. CPA or MBA is preferred.
