Director - Healthcare Consulting Group
RSM McGladrey is currently in the process of expanding our Southern California healthcare practice. We are looking to add an expert in either hospitals & health systems or continuing care, to supplement our current base of ambulatory care expertise. We seek an individual who can build on their industry contacts to establish a consulting client base. This individual would work with local and national McGladrey resources.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Support new business development and contribute to the practice development of the Healthcare Consulting Group. This would include significantly expanding the group's presence in continuing Healthcare Southern California.
Develop innovative ideas for leveraging the practice�s specialized knowledge in varied healthcare settings
Participate in multidisciplinary teams to develop organization-wide strategic plans, evaluate and enhance operating systems, and attain compliance with regulations in healthcare organizations
Assist clients in evaluating business opportunities through development of comprehensive business solutions
Prepare new engagement proposals in compliance with RSM McGladrey policies
Maintain/monitor project plans and budgets to ensure completion of engagements within proposed constraints
Maintain a working knowledge of healthcare industry trends including licensure, reimbursement and regulatory issues
Provide leadership and personnel management according to RSM McGladrey guidelines
Maintain professional credentials, education, and certifications
Able to travel up to 30%
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
Minimum of Bachelor�s degree
Graduate degree preferred but not required: MBA, MPH, Nursing, MPA, Finance
Experience
At least 8 years� experience working in healthcare either for a provider or consulting firm
Supervisory experience
Project management experience required
Prior consulting and business development experience preferred
Clinical and/or operational healthcare experience a plus
Skills
Excellent writing and oral presentation skills required
Expert in office applications such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word/Excel/ Access/PowerPoint) including advanced knowledge of Excel and/or Access
Understanding of current healthcare trends
Ability to work on multiple projects and balance multiple priorities
