Requirements:

Must have an in-depth knowledge of Workers Compensation, General Liability and Automobile Liability.

Two to three years experience underwriting cost commercial accounts (loss sensitive experience a plus).

Must be self-motivated, detail-oriented and have strong written and oral communication skills.

Excellent negotiation skills and familiarity within the western U.S. broker community.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Some travel is required.

Education: Bachelors

Experience: 3-5 years

Description:

Chartis has an opportunity for an Underwriter in its Global Marine and Energy division. This position is responsible for underwriting energy-related primary casualty business in a fast paced and challenging environment.

Identify and target new business opportunities.

Develop broker / client relationships and handle new and renewal business.
