Clearwire customers stay connected using licensed spectrum, thus eliminating the confines of traditional cable or phone lines. On May 7, 2008, Clearwire Corporation and Sprint Nextel Corporation entered into a definitive agreement to combine their next-generation wireless broadband businesses to form a new wireless communications company to expedite the deployment of the first nationwide mobile WiMAX network. In conjunction with this agreement Intel Corporation (through Intel Capital); Google Inc.; Comcast Corporation; Time Warner Cable Inc; and Bright House Networks have collectively agreed to invest $3.2 billion into the new company. Manager of Program Management:The Program Manager will be responsible for providing management and oversight support for the commercial market launch team. This individual, reporting to the Director of Program Management, will be responsible for developing and maintaining program calendars, managing cross-project dependencies, and consolidating the project status. The Program Manager will work closely with the various cross-functional team members to develop a consolidated view of the Clearwire’s market launch program and for analyzing and managing critical success factors around market launches. Responsibilities: Plan, execute and successfully deliver on concurrent mid to large scale market launch related projectsCoordinate market launch portfolio and resourcing requirementsEscalates all unresolved issues to the appropriate managersDevelop project plans, resource plans and project estimates in collaboration with multiple functions and teamsEnsure that milestones are achieved on-time and on-budget and in scope by dealing with or escalating issues with sufficient time for course correctionLeads team meetings and participates in project review meetingsEnsures effective and proactive communications to project stakeholdersQualifications:Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Quantitative Analysis, Operations Research, Computer Science or Engineering, required. MBA preferred6-8 years experience in a progressive career path as a Project Manager, Program Manager, or Product Manager in a technology-based businessProven experience in working in a matrix environment and managing multiple stakeholdersDeveloped business acumen with excellent practical experience in: program management, issue reporting and resolution, executive status reporting, project management tools, and cross-functional team leadershipSelf-starter that can drive complex projects with minimal guidance/oversightStrong communication, decision making and relationship-building skills are requiredStrong planning, scheduling, and organization skillsWork effectively in a team environmentStrong quantitative and analytical reasoning skills
