GENERAL SUMMARY:
Provides general and specialized direct and indirect patient care through the application of sound Nursing Practice procedures and practices to patients seen in the clinic and nursing units; demonstrates competency in the behavioral, growth and development, and psychosocial needs of the population served.
Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Completion of a recognized course of study from an accredited School of Nursing. BSN preferred.
Required Length and Type of Experience:
3 years critical care nursing experience. Dialysis experience preferred.
Required Licensure, Certification or Registry:
Must be currently licensed to practice in the state of Ohio. ACLS certification in Critical care or must obtain within first year of employment. BONNET preferred.
Required Physical and Environmental Demands:
Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patient, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination. Requires standing and lifting for extended periods of time. Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 50 pounds. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range. Requires working under stressful conditions and irregular hours. Exposure to communicable diseases and/or body fluids.
