Description
Elsevier, the market leader in Health Science information, seeks a Sales Representative based in New Jersey to include New York City, the boroughs, and select accounts in New England to promote health science textbooks and electronic products to an existing account base of career schools. We are seeking a highly motivated, organized and self-directed professional with a proven track record of success to meet and exceed yearly sales quotas. Our sales leaders continuously gain new product knowledge by working with customers and through participation in training opportunities and attending semi-annual sales meetings. Sales representative must be able to identify customer needs through solution-base selling techniques and demonstrate the full value of the Elsevier suite of products which include textbooks, online and electronic educational resources. This position offers a competitive salary, bonus, and company-provided vehicle.
Requirements
The successful candidate must be self-directed, have excellent written and oral communication skills, and organizational and computer skills to include proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite and the internet. A two-year track record of proven sales success is required, including a proven history of negotiating, presenting solutions and closing, with the ability to build and maintain solid customer relationships is also required. Strong ability to prioritize is key. Presentation skills and speaking in front of groups of educators is an essential function of this position. Educational publishing experience, especially in Health Science is a plus. Travel is required. Minimum education requirement is a Bachelor's Level Degree.
