CTRS/Activity Therapist DeBarr RTC

We are currently searching for Certified Therapeutic Recreational Specialist to join our established team. The primary responsibilities of this position will be to provide therapeutic recreational and expressive therapy services to patients by serving as a member of the interdisciplinary treatment team and supporting the facility’s treatment program.

Requirements This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Recreational or
Occupational Therapy, Psychology or related field. CTRS is required.
A minimum of one year of activity or recreational therapy is
preferred. The ideal candidate should be able to demonstrate
knowledge and understanding of expressive arts, recreational therapy
theory, and adventure challenge based experience with the ability to
apply its principles in a psychiatric setting. Knowledge of a variety
of treatment modalities and treatment of both individuals and
families is strongly preferred. Excellent verbal and written
communication skills, the ability to problem solve, and the ability
to work as a team and with a diverse population is a must.
