Take Care Health Systems has an opportunity for a PRN Nurse Practitioner to join our team in Plano, TX!
This opportunity is in a corporate setting with the hours of 830a-5p. It is needed for assistance with annual wellness clinics, flu clinics, PTO coverage and one scheduled day every 4 weeks. It has no call, no weekends, and will practice autonomously in acute and episodic care. It will be working with a great team that thinks this office is the best job in the world!
Responsibilities:
- Maintains Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner state practice rules and regulations, including physician involvement as required for all aspects of practice
- Conducts physical exams as appropriate, using evidence based practice and policies, procedures and guidelines, with the emphasis on appropriate treatment, return to work, and presenteeism
- Refers to external providers as needed
- Collaborates with Infection and Communicable Disease Department in the management of infection control and medical surveillance of tuberculosis monitoring, needle stick injury tracking and monitoring, and outbreak exposure investigation, reporting
- Participates and supports health and wellness initiatives, health education and screening programs
- Provide utilization and participation clinic data
Requirements :
Master’s degree, certification as a nurse practitioner with a Family population focus. Will consider Adult Nurse Practitioner.Three to five years’ clinical experience in acute care, ambulatory, or emergency care.Excellent written and oral communication skillsExperience utilizing electronic medical records or databasesCurrent BLS certification required
