Job Description:
This position is contingent upon successful award of the Missile Defense Agency Engineering and Services Support (MiDAESS) contract located at The Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Huntsville, Alabama. The anticipated award date is November/December 2009. Positions will be primarily based in Huntsville, Alabama, but may require work at other MDA sites.The Education & Training Manager is responsible for preparing and conducting education, training and development programs for employees.Responsibilities: Under general direction, reporting to a project manager or human resource manager, manages the training and development function in an area office, on a large or mega project, or in a large subsidiary. Develops and implements education, training and development programs. Supervises other trainers. Analyzes development needs, develops and implements appropriate programs or locates outside resources and evaluates the effectiveness of the completed programs. Confers with management to gain knowledge of identified work situations requiring development. Formulates instructional design methods utilizing knowledge of specified training needs and the effectiveness of such training methods as individual coaching, self-learning techniques, group instruction, lectures, demonstrations, meetings and workshops. Selects and/or develops teaching aids such as training handbooks, demonstration models, multimedia visual aids and reference works.
Minimum Requirements:
Education: Bachelors degree in communications, business or demonstrated equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience: This is a management level position with 15+ years of experience as a trainer in a similar industry, including experience as a training manager and 4+ years of training experience at a variety of construction project sites serving all levels of personnel.Note: Position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
