Malcolm Pirnie is seeking a Project Engineer to work in their White Plains, NY Construction Management group for work on large NYC area water supply and wastewater treatment plant projects. This person will be responsible for various design services during construction (construction administration) activities including assisting the project manager, expediting resolution of design and construction issues, including, but not limited to preparing change orders (including scope of work, justifications, cost estimates, etc.), reviewing and preparing responses to RFIs and RFCs, shop drawing submittal coordination and review, preparing direction for issuance to Resident Engineer, managing and tracking project numbers and budgets. 1.Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering2.5 - 10 years experience3.EIT, P.E. license preferred4.Heavy water and wastewater treatment plant related experience a preferred5.NYCDEP water supply and wastewater plant experience preferred6.Basic proficiency with MS Office required7.Strong organizational, communication, and prompt/accurate judgment abilities a must. Must have clear and consistent appreciation for the importance of accurate, thorough, and timely completion of work activities and the ability to properly apply efforts to satisfy multiple project needs and commitments; excellent time management skills are essential. Must be a self-starter and detail orientated. The ability to mentor entry level staff is a plus.
