This position is for ConvaTec Inc., an industry leading provider of ostomy, skin care, and wound care products and services. Reporting to the VP, Sales and Marketing Ostomy Care, the Regional Sales Manager is responsible for delivering profitable business results through superior execution of the Ostomy Care Business strategy.  In addition, delivering profitable sales through the effective use of resources to ensure volume targets are achieved.  Building a high performance team through effective leadership and communication with regions Territory Managers. Developing strong working relationships with external and internal customers and utilizing internal relationships to establish strategy and build support for external goals and objectives.  Develops, gains approval and drives operational plans, oversees development and implementation of region tactical plans, goals, and objectives. Proactively identifies key issues and delivers efficient responses to business development opportunities. Manages the regional budget, ensuring that the allocation of resources is optimized. Interfaces with TMs and specified accounts to strategize, plan and execute the most effective method of education to drive sales, including product emphasis, audiences, locations, timing, resource needs, requirements, type of program, etc.  Demonstrates intellectual and emotional capability and commitment, exercises a high degree of adaptability in dealing with an ambiguous and complex work environment, balances multiplicity of demands on role in a responsive, professional manner. Implement clear performance standards for employees against which to measure progress.  Provide ongoing coaching to improve work performance and develop skills and abilities. Prepare others to assume new increased responsibilities in the future. Create high performing sales team by hiring, training, and retaining high quality Territory Managers.
Requirements Job Requirements
BA or BS Degree or related experience. Two to eight years of sales management or managing projects through others experience preferred.  Advanced degree preferred.  Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret complex problems and data gathered from a variety of sources and, through effective decision making and planning, deliver superior business solutions. Demonstrated ability to work with a range of diverse people, influencing them to get things done, and deliver value added business results that meet high quality requirements within tight deadlines. Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate to a broad audience at multiple levels within the company through various formats, i.e. presentations, written proposals, reports, and correspondence, leading meetings, face to face dialogue, etc.  First hand experience working directly with customers, opinion leaders, technical experts and professional staff as well as broad exposure to the healthcare industry and its competitors. Experience working closely with centralized sales support i.e., training, information systems, and distribution. Ideal candidate must reside or be willing to relocate to the Western United States.
