Job Description
POSITION PURPOSE:
 
This position will create, implement, improve and support the supplier quality assurance system for Residential Filtration. The position will also focus on developing and implementing systems to specifically manage suppliers, internal and external corrective action activity in order to reduce or eliminate incoming material rejections and customer complaints. Additionally, this position will be responsible to manage the existing carbon, resin and other filtration media databases as well as the respective CTQ Score Cards.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:   

                                                                       
1. Facilitation of the supplier quality assurance program for external and internal suppliers. Resolve supplier issues by working as a liaison between engineering, supplier development, manufacturing plants and the supplier base. Evaluate supplier processes, and Pentair requirements to ensure appropriate sourcing. Analyze PPAP warrants to ensure consistency and proper communication of Pentair requirements
 
2. Work with Supplier Development Engineer to ensure alignment with strategic initiatives. Maintain a presence at critical suppliers to ensure compliance to Pentair specifications and requirements.
 
3. Directly responsible for the development, implementation and management of the Pentair Residential Filtration Business Unit Corrective Action Management System.
Job Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS: 
 
EDUCATION OR DEGREE REQUIRED:
 
BS degree in technical field or equivalent experience.
 
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED/PREFERRED:
 
ASQ CQE, preferred
 
RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
8 to 10 years of experience in manufacturing with a process and quality focus. Demonstrated experience in supplier process improvement is required. Must be able to communicate and understand the needs of suppliers, internal and external customers.
