Installation and Dismantle Manager (I&D Manager)

Who are we looking for?

We are seeking talented, enthusiastic people who will give our clients both the best internal and external service in the industry.

The primary purpose of this role is to interact with all I&D customers, including maintenance of existing accounts, development of new accounts, and building rapport with exhibit houses, key accounts, and others. In addition, this position will manage all I&D show floor operations while maintaining high profile with clients. Some other duties include:

  • Oversee all exhibit system booth rental construction at show site
  • Assist Exhibitor Sales staff (when possible) with telephone solicitation
  • Understand proper procedures to complete paperwork pertaining to I&D Department
  • Check I&D work orders to verify accuracy of information
  • Secure all necessary equipment, tools, and supplies needed to service the show floor
  • Ensure that the I&D service desk is properly staffed
  • Make necessary arrangements with Operations Manager to see that all equipment is delivered to show site
  • Prepare and place all labor calls for I&D
  • Prepare daily show floor worksheet and dispatch labor to the floor
  • Interact with system clients to ensure the highest level of customer service is provided
  • Determine appropriate discounts for selected exhibitor accounts within the guidelines of The Freeman Companies I&D discount policy
  • Train and develop lead personnel
  • Maintain knowledge of all facets of I&D Planner/Coordinator and I&D Field Representative jobs
  • Properly delegate responsibilities
  • Work with Foremen and Exhibitor Services while at show site.



    Job Requirements

    You must have a minimum of:

  • Bachelors degree from a four-year college or university preferred
  • Three (3+) or more years of related installation and dismantle/industry experience
  • Two (2+) or more years of supervisory experience
  • Work experience with unions strongly preferred
  • Carpentry experience extremely helpful
  • Must have the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Must have the ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Must have the ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
  • Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Excellent customer service skills



    Work Schedule:

    Business hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Business hours will extend into nights and weekends. Travel will be required as determined by show.
