Job Description
Job Summary: Grand Island Home Care Services currently has a full time opening for a RN focusing on adult care clients. A valid drivers license is required and the candidates must meet the requriements of the Saint Elizabeth Driving policy. This position reports to the Home Health Coordinator. Will require 2 years hospital or home care experience. Essential Job Functions:1. Performs selected nursing procedures within the confines of the scope of practice of the Registered Nurse2. Observes, records, and reports to the appropriate person, symptoms, reactions, and changes.3. Assists with the rehabilitation of patients according to the nursing care plan.4. Assists with the preparation, implementation, and continuing updating of the nursing care plan by reporting appropriately to the Registered Nurse.5. Maintains appropriate progress notes as part of the patient record.6. Maintains confidentiality of all patient information.7. Participates in Hospice team meetings and home care case conferences as appropriate.
Job Requirements
Education:Graduate of an accredited nursing school. Licensure/Certification:1. Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse the State of Nebraska.2. Must have a valid Nebraska Drivers' License and a driving record compatible with the requirements of Saint Elizabeth Regional Medical Center.3. Current Basic Life Support certification. Experience/Pre-Requisites:1. Two year of Registered Nursing experience required a hospital or home care setting.2. Previous home care experience preferred.3. Must be able to communicate effectively in a variety of situations.4. Requires the ability to function independently and to work with patients and families in their homes and within the parameters of their chosen lifestyles.
