Job Description
The Manager, IT Finance will directly support a business unit executive and work in small management teams to develop financial forecasts and resource allocation plans in support of large support functions. Models, forecasts, proposals, presentations and monitoring processes will be developed to provide confidence to executives to invest in business units or support functions to achieve adequate return, thus improving return on invested capital within the business unit and Walgreen Co. Most activities will align to planning with some requirement to assess current performance compared to expectations. 

 

Job Requirements

Candidates must have experience in relevant financial or quantitative analysis of business units. Exposure to or experience with IT-related investments is a plus.  Candidate must have working knowledge of financial accounting, financial reporting or financial statement analysis. Excellent oral and written communication skills required. Candidate must be able to explain complex matters clearly and succinctly. Good presentation skills and confidence in presenting to executives is required. Candidate must have bachelor's degree with major or emphasis in finance, accounting or economics; or have completed an MBA program; or must be able to demonstrate financial expertise through past work experience. Candidate must be able to illustrate and model solutions to complex problems, work in cross functional teams and succeed under pressure with short deadlines.
