Medical Quality Administrator


Job Description

Purpose:
Client is a managed care organization. Their health plan offers enhanced benefits and quality accessible care through collaboration with providers. They are looking to add a new team player to their dynamic Quality Improvement Department as a Medical Quality Administrator.

In this position, you will be responsible for the coordination and monitoring of Quality Improvement program objectives, including the delivery of performance improvement projects for service and clinical activities, integration of the quality improvement plan into all departments and the facilitation of HEDIS, CAHPS and URAC accreditation activities, with a primary focus on NCQA driven initiatives.

Responsible for the development and management of clinical and service related process improvement activities, coordination of provider and member surveys, improvement of HEDIS scores through the development of new member outreach strategies, plan accreditation processes, quality committees and communication of process improvement concepts throughout the organization.

The ideal candidate will possess an strong understanding of medical concepts and terminology as well as an understanding of software applications designed to help healthcare organizations manage large amounts of clinical data. Strong preference given to candidates with backgrounds in information technology who have worked in healthcare organizations, especially managed care. Proficiency with the use of Catalyst Quality Spectrum Insight software a plus.
