Job Description
Analyzes and defines security requirements for Multilevel Security issues. Designs, develops, engineers and implements solutions to MLS requirements. Responsible for the implementation and development of the MLS. Gathers and organizes technical information about an organization's mission goals and needs, existing security products, and ongoing programs in the MLS arena. Performs risk analyses which also includes risk assessment. Provides daily supervision and direction to staff. Provides technical support for secure software development and integration tasks, including reviewing work products for correctness and adhering to the design concept and to user standards. Analyzes and recommends resolution of security / IA problems on the basis of knowledge of the major IA products and services, an understanding of their limitations, and knowledge of the IA disciplines. Will support DISA in securing adequate protection of the Global Information Infrastructure against information attacks and Information Warfare. May assist in developing an integrated DoD - wide protection and operational restoration capability to counter security threats to, incidents within, and attacks on DoD information technology. A segment of this development will include advising and assisting users and operators of the GII. Such advice and assistance may include providing penetration testing of DISA and DISA customer systems as well as IA vulnerability resolution in support of DISA and DISA customers. Provide technical support for DISA Field Security Operations and Theater NetOps Centers for real-time and near real-time defensive IA operations support for the designated Areas of Responsibility.
Requirements
Position requires a TS/SCI security clearance. Associates degree in electronics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or other scientific or technical discipline directly related to the labor category and 6+ years experience of which at least 5 years must be specialized. Training certificates from an accredited training program required. Approved training programs include, but are not limited to, Microsoft, Cisco, Oracle, DEC, Marconi, Nortel, and SUN Microsystems certificate programs. Knowledgeable of Security / Information Assurance products such as PKI, VPN, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems. Military experience in a network operations center desired.
