Make a Difference Web Software Developer III (Ft. Gordan, GA) Parsons provides mission critical solutions to the US government. Our landmark planning, environmental, engineering, construction, and facility operation programs have supported federally-funded chemical weapons demilitarization, military installations and ranges, space exploration, missile defense, aviation, and sustainability programs. Our services also support homeland security initiatives and reconstruction efforts after man-made or natural disasters. Duties & Responsibilities The incumbent will analyze, design, develop and implement web-based software applications which will allow government agencies to deliver their customer services through a standard online toolset. The web developer will have knowledge and expertise to create the site concept, interfaces, architecture and components needed for the web site solution. Key Duties:
- Work with end user requirements to design, develop, test, implement solutions
- Ensure development work is done in accordance with contract methodologies and standards
- Manage tasks to meet project timeline
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with teammates and clients
- Maintain and enhance applications software, websites, and web applications for small to large, highly complex computer systems or portions of large integrated systems.
This position will be filled if Parsons is successful in winning the contract. Contingent offers may be made in anticipation of Award which is projected for early Feb/March 2010.
Experience & Qualifications
- Clearance: Candidate must possess TS/SCI with counter intelligence (CI) polygraph clearance.
- 8 years Knowledge and experience with website design, HTML, DHTML, Javascript, database development, relational database design, and database protocols. Must be able to address HTML and scripting compatibility issues between different browsers and computing platforms.
- Experience in the creation of web-based applications using Microsoft tools & technologies: IIS, ASP, MTS, Index Server, JavaScript/VBScript, Visual Interdev. Knowledge and experience with installing, configuring, maintaining, tuning, analyzing and optimizing websites in the Windows environment.
- Ability to understand and contribute to functional requirements and translate them into technical design and development projects.
- Ability to clearly document features, technical specifications, and infrastructure requirements for self-produced technical work and job processes.
- Must be able to continuously monitor industry trends, technologies, and standards and be able to research, recommend, and apply new technologies as they emerge.
- Candidate must be self-sufficient and have good English oral and written
- communications skills. Bachelors degree from a recognized 4 year university or equivalent experience. BS in Computer Science preferred.
- Proof of US citizenship is required
