We are currently recruiting for a Senior Attorney, Privacy & Regulatory Issues to work in our Norcross, GA. Facility.
This position will be responsible for the following:
The primary purpose of this position is to assist the Chief Privacy Officer/Assistant General Counsel with various aspects of Fiserv’s Privacy program, which governs responsible use of information relating to identifiable individuals (personal data) and compliance with worldwide privacy and personal data protection laws. Primary role initially will be reviewing contract provisions relating to confidentiality, security and privacy, and providing comments and proposed revisions to the company’s client and vendor contract administrators. Secondary roles will include (after a period of on-the-job training) providing legal counsel and support to the Fiserv Enterprise Risk and Resilience Incident Management and Security Programs, and providing privacy and regulatory subject matter expertise to the Fiserv Human Resources and Marketing functions and to Fiserv business units developing new service offerings in the financial services industry. Limited travel (5-10%)
Requirements
Skills Required:
The Senior Attorney will have 10+ years relevant legal experience, preferably at least 5+ years “in-house” in the financial services industry. Experience with reviewing, commenting upon, and proposing changes to contract provisions relating to confidentiality, security and privacy, in the context of a technology solutions provider to the financial services industry. Familiarity with privacy and personal data protection laws, particularly the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act, FTC Act, and state security breach disclosure laws. Also, a general familiarity with financial industry regulations, particularly Reg E and other Federal Reserve Regulations pertaining to financial transactions in electronic commerce is preferred.
Education/Certification Required:
Bachelors Degree and Law Degree from accredited law school; admitted to State Bar of Georgia (or admitted in another state and willing to complete requirements to become admitted to State Bar of Georgia). Preferred: CIPP (Certified Information Privacy Professional) certification.
