We currently have a full time OR job share opportunity for dynamic Nurse Practitioner(s) to join our team in Bala Cynwyd, Pennsylvania. The successful incumbant will possess superb clinical skills, exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. 

The primary focus of the Nurse Practitioner (NP) is to promote optimum health, prevent illness and injury, and manage select acute and chronic health problems in the corporate health setting. The NP is the primary provider of clinical care for this setting. Reports to Supervising (Collaborative) Physician.

Job Summary:

• Responds to emergencies and provides support of emergency response team. Provides assessment and treatment of acute illness and injuries, and episodic primary care for easily resolved conditions, using evidence based policies, procedures and protocols, with the emphasis on return to work and presenteeism.
• Refers to external providers as needed.
• Provides allergy immunizations and administration of other parental medications prescribed by an employee’s physician.
• Facilitates early reporting of occupational illness or injuries.
• Supports the employee’s physician with monitoring of patient’s chronic medical problem, and counsels well employees to promote healthy behaviors and modify risk factors for heart disease, diabetes and other medical conditions.
• Participates and supports health and wellness initiatives, health education and screening programs.

Requirements:

• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of employment.
• Master’s Degree,
• Certification as a Nurse Practitioner with an adult population focus.
• Three to five years’ clinical experience in emergency care, ambulatory care, internal medicine or acute medical surgical nursing.
• Excellent written, oral communication and presentation skills.
• Experience in occupational health/corporate health nursing preferred.
