Network Engineer
Princeton Information Ltd., has an immediate need for a Sr Network Engineer for a contract to hire opportunity in Columbus. High priorities are VOIP, VTC, Cisco CallManager and Cisco CallManager Express.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
Education/Experience:
A Computer Science degree is helpful but not required if candidate has equivalent work experience.
3+ years of VoIP and Unified Communications implementation and support
5+ years of core TCP/IP fundamentals including, NAT, IP routing, DHCP, DNS, VLANS, and IPSEC VPNs.
CCNA/CCNP, MCSE or other related certifications a plus.
Technical Knowledge:
VoIP and Unified Communications in a Cisco and Microsoft environment.
Working knowledge of Cisco routing protocols such as QOS, COS, EIGRP and BGP.
Working knowledge of NAT, Firewalls, Internet content filtering systems.
Working knowledge of Network Fault Management, Monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
Working knowledge of popular OSs such as, Windows and Linux.
Experience with Video Teleconferencing in a WAN environment and Audio/Video production beneficial.
Experience with Video Conferencing codecs, bridges and other VTC infrastructure technology beneficial.
Understanding of legacy telecommunication, PBX and Voicemail systems beneficial.
Understanding of technical architecture approaches and best practices.
Reasoning Ability:
Proven ability to define problems, collect data, run tests, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions, including formal training, user groups, technical manuals, web-based knowledge and technical support centers.
Ability to draw conclusions from information provided by the Help Desk, on-call Network Engineers, I&O team members and their own experience to solve problems.
